Biografía
El Dr. Juan Antonio Valdés es Profesor titular, director de la carrera de Ingeniería en Biotecnología en la Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB), e Investigador Principal del centro INCAR. Su línea de investigación se centra en temas de crecimiento y estrés en organismos de importancia acuícola. Lidera su cuarto proyecto Fondecyt, y cuenta con más de 90 publicaciones Wos, con un índice h 25. Como docente, imparte clases en pregrado y postgrado en asignaturas asociadas a la biotecnología acuícola. A la fecha ha dirigido 5 tesis del programa de doctorado en Biotecnología, 14 tesis de Magíster, más de 30 de tesis pregrado, y un importante número de prácticas y pasantías de investigación.
